      • why? --> she was pregnant and Jesus was supposedly back for her
      • after a couple of times being afraid to walk home,  the mother of the family won't have it

    • Cliffhanger: readers don't know if Jesus kills Nancy or not

        • 1. silk factory: oppressive conditions of people making his robe for his coronation day
        • 2. Slave ship: slaves' life being used to find the perfect pearl for ornate specter 
          • horrific and maltreated
        • 3. Minesite: witnesses death and depression but the reality of men looking for the perfect ruby for his crown
      • DREAMS=REALITY

      • Power: God crowns him to be king 
        • money could go to something else that benefits the poor instead of his coronation 
    • fear of popular opinion
